Oral Surgical Procedures
Our practice performs oral surgical procedures including extraction of teeth that cannot be restored by conservative methods, surgical removal of wisdom teeth and retained roots. Apicotomy is a procedure that removes the root tip and inflammatory tissue around it in order to preserve the tooth.
Soft and bone tissue corrections are performed to prepare the foundation for prosthetic restorations or to repair defects caused by tooth loss or trauma.
Surgical Treatment of Periodontal Disease
Periodontal disease affects the supporting structures of the teeth: gums, bone and the periodontal ligament. When conservative therapy is not sufficient, surgical procedures are applied including osteoplasty and correction of bone defects. The goal is to halt the progression of disease and preserve the teeth.
The specialist practice of Dr. Vatroslav Bubalo collaborates with a periodontology and dental pathology specialist for the preparation of prosthetic rehabilitation.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are titanium screws surgically placed into the jawbone to serve as artificial tooth roots. Crowns, bridges or dentures are then mounted on them. Prosthetic restoration on implants is our specialty.
Implant placement is performed in collaboration with an oral surgeon (full professor), while the prosthetic rehabilitation on implants is carried out by Dr. Bubalo.
